The New Target is Robocop

Why is this happening? Is there such a big market for remakes of movies? Are they all out of ideas?

Now We Know: Aronofsky’s Robocop Not Sequel

We’ve asked before to no avail, but finally director Darren Aronofsky has come out and admitted that his new Robocop movie will not be a sequel to the previous three movies, but a ground-up reboot to the mechanical cop franchise.

I don’t think it’s bad to “reboot” franchises; the last two Batman movies are arguably the best Batman movies (and good movies on their own merits). Plus Aronofsky is a great director so I doubt it’ll turn out poorly.

i can’t deny that i Like the new batman movies – quite a Lot actuaLLy. and i aLso have to agree with aronofsky being a great director. then again robocop is somewhere up there, too.
i think i’d just Like a take on a few years Later, instead of a remake.
