Eight-Core Mac Pros
The same day that I post a roundup of Intel-based Mac performance over on the Primate Labs blog Apple has to go and release an eight-core Mac Pro. It’ll be interesting to see how the eight-core Mac Pro performs, especially given the benchmarks we posted last year on an “unofficial” eight-core Mac Pro. My guess is Apple’s eight-core Mac Pro will be faster, since each of its cores run at 3.0GHz, as compared to 2.33GHz in the unofficial Mac Pro.
