Updated iBooks, PowerBooks
Following a large announcement yesterday, Apple has released updated iBooks and Powerbooks.
The updated iBook features 1GHz or 1.2GHz PowerPC G4 processors with 512KB of L2 cache, ATI Mobility Radeon 9200, and 256MB of DDR266 SDRAM built-in. The 12″ model has a 1GHz PowerPC G4 processor and costs 1099USD, while the 14″ model has a 1.0GHz or 1.2GHz PowerPC G4 processor, and starts at 1299USD. It’s also possible to upgrade the Combo Drive to a SuperDrive in the 14″ iBook.
The updated PowerBooks feature 1.33GHz or 1.5GHz PowerPC G4 processors, and built-in AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth. The 12″ PowerBook has a 1.33GHz PowerPC G4 processor, nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 graphics, a 60GB hard drive, and starts at 1599USD. The 15″ PowerBook has a 1.33GHz or 1.5GHz PowerPC G4 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics (with 64MB or 128MB of graphics memory), and starts at 1999USD. The 17″ PowerBook has a 1.5GHz G4 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics (with 64MB or 128MB of graphics memory), and costs 2799USD.
